The brand’s name was derived from the “Kalik, Kalikin’ kalik” sound of the cowbell instrument used in Junkanoo – the Bahamas most important and largest cultural event and also a pulsating, uniquely Bahamian genre of music that has helped put The Bahamas on the map.
